This door was cleverly designed to replace existing wood doors. Many garage floors have a drop down edge where the garage door sits in, providing an excellent seal from rain getting into the garage. Since most wood doors were made 1 3/8" thick, The Advantage door will fit into the drop down edge perfectly. However, the bottom weather seal will provide a tight seal even without a drop down edge. We have installed hundreds of The Advantage doors over the years. The durability and quality of this door is outstanding! Even the track and hardware is heavy duty.
